Introducing Khalil & Lake!

It is with great pleasure that we announce a significant milestone for our firm. Effective February 1, 2024, our firm will officially be known as Khalil & Lake.

This change comes as a recognition of Joshua Lake’s exceptional career and invaluable contributions to our firm and our clients. Joshua, a graduate of Georgetown Law, has brought a wealth of experience from his time as a public defender in Colorado and at the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Houston.

Since joining our team in 2022, Joshua has twice argued before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in a complicated Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) case; he has secured a non-prosecution agreement for a client facing an investigation into international migratory-bird trafficking; and he has represented the former controller of a publicly traded food distribution company in an SEC investigation. His dedication and skill have been instrumental in obtaining favorable outcomes, including suppression of evidence, dismissal of a federal indictment, and probationary sentences for multiple clients.

At Khalil & Lake, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing conscientious, client-centered representation with careful attention to detail.  With a combined 30 years’ experience in white-collar law, Khalil & Lake is known for rendering first-rate legal services to both individuals and companies in sensitive government investigations.
